Tribune Lies...Deliberately
We don't suppose we're actually surprised, but this is most definitely irresponsible in the extreme (we got this from an e-mailer who pays attention):
The incidents occurred in Uptown, Buena Park and Wrigleyville neighborhoods between Sunday and Thursday during early morning hours, according to a statement from the Chicago Police Department’s Office of News Affairs.
In each case, offenders approached victims when they were walking, struck or push them and then grabbed their wallets and purses, according to the statement.
The first robbery happened around 2 a.m. on Sunday in the 4500 block of North Broadway Street, and the second incident occurred at 6:20 a.m. the same day in the 1000 block of West Buena Avenue, according to the statement.
