An Uber driver has been charged with sexually assaulting a passenger last month, a source said Monday.
Maxime Fohounhedo, 30, is accused of sexually assaulting a 22-year-old woman who was a passenger in his cab on Nov. 16 in the 2600 block of West Lawrence, according to formal charges announced by Chicago Police Monday night.
Fohounhedo was a driver for Uber at the time, according to a source.
The woman was treated at Swedish Covenant Hospital, police said.
Fohounhedo, of the 4400 block of North Lawndale, was charged with one count of criminal sexual assault and one count of criminal sexual abuse, police said.
He was scheduled to appear in bond court Tuesday.
