Chicago police are warning Northwest Side residents after a string of armed robberies in Logan Square this month, some of which targeted food delivery drivers.
Most recently, a delivery driver was robbed about 9 p.m. January 18 in the 3500 block of West Shakespeare Avenue, according to community alert.
Another delivery driver was robbed about the same time January 17, just a few blocks south in the 2000 block of North Drake Avenue, police said.
Police said anywhere from one to four armed males, each wearing black skull caps and black hooded sweatshirts, are responsible for the robberies. Three were described as Hispanic males, between the ages of 16 and 20 years-old and between 5-foot3 and 5-foot-10. The fourth was described as black, between 16 and 25 years-old and between 5-foot-7 and 6 feet.
Police said the group is also responsible for two street robberies earlier this month. The first robbery happened about 3:33 p.m. January 11 in the 3500 block of West McLean Avenue, and the other happened about 9:35 p.m. January 14 in the 3500 block of West Dickens Avenue.
Police did not say what weapon was used during the robberies or what was taken. Anyone with information can contact police at (312) 744-8263.
