CHICAGO POLICE - Shitty end for a Man found dead in porta-potty on Northwest Side

A man was found to dead in a port-a-potty on the Northwest Side Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The unidentified man, believed to be in his 50s, was discovered inside a portable toilet in the 2900 block of North Central Avenue in the Cragin neighborhood around 2 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office and police.

He was pronounced dead at 2:15 p.m. at the scene, according to the medical examiner’s office.

The man did not have signs of obvious trauma, was possibly homeless and was believed to likely die from hypothermia, authorities said. The official autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.

Police are conducting a death investigation.
