Two pedestrians were killed after being struck by a car on the Northwest Side Saturday evening, police said. Their bodies thrown 75 feet in the air before smacking the pavement.
Two men, whose ages were not immediately available, were crossing the street in the 4300 block of West North Avenue when a 2002 Buick hit them around 10:10 p.m., said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.
The 24-year-old man behind the wheel of the Buick sped away from the scene and crashed into three parked vehicles three blocks away at North and Kedvale avenues, Greer said.
