A 30-year-old colored woman with a very checkered past was found dead at a self-storage facility in southwest suburban Crest Hill Friday morning, authorities said.
Tiana M. Wallace was pronounced dead at 9:58 a.m. Friday at U-Store-It, at 1906 Plainfield Road in Crest Hill, according to the Will County coroner’s office.
One cause of Wallace’s death was hypothermia due to cold exposure, according to the results of an autopsy on Saturday.
But the case is still pending the outcome of additional toxicological studies and an ongoing police investigation, according to the coroner’s office.
Crest Hill Police Department could not immediately comment on the incident.
